CT firefighters battling Signal Hill fire

Twenty-four firefighters are currently on scene, while three helicopters are also assisting with water bombing efforts.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town firefighters are currently battling a vegetation fire on Signall Hill.

The blaze broke out more than an hour ago.

Twenty-four firefighters are currently on scene, while three helicopters are also assisting with water bombing efforts.

The City's Fire and Rescue Services' Theo Layne says: “The fire is fanned by a very strong south-easterly wind. There’s no immediate danger to property. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this stage.”
