CAPE TOWN – No missing reports have been filed for a three-year-old Khayelitsha girl who was abandoned at Bellville Station at the end of last year.

Police have been trying to trace the relatives of little Asemahle Siphamla since 31 December 2016.

Siphamla was able to tell police her name, age and that she's from Khayelitsha.

The Pink Ladies Organisation's Dessie Rechner says she's since been taken to a place of safety.

“She is a three-year-old little female; small built with brown eyes and braids. She was found on 31 December, 2016, in the Bellville terminus after being left there by an unknown female.”
