HARARE - Zimbabwe's protest pastor Evan Mawarire says he and supporters of the “This Flag” movement will not be intimidated.

Mawarire was speaking after appearing in court on charges of trying to overthrow the government.

Mawarire says the State lawyers weren’t ready and the case is now being postponed to 16 March.

Earlier this month, he spent a week in jail after he was arrested and charged with trying to subvert President Robert Mugabe’s government.

In a video sent from the Harare Magistrates Court, Mawarire said he and his supporters aren’t intimidated or afraid.

He urged Zimbabweans to register to vote in their numbers ahead of next year’s election because “turning around the country can’t be done by one person”.

Another protest pastor Patrick Mugadza is also due in court on Friday after saying Mugabe would die in October.
