Search for Delft teen’s killers continues

CAPE TOWN – Authorities are still hunting for a suspect in connection with the murder of a 17-year-old girl in Delft.

It is believed that Washiema Matthews was caught in gang crossfire when she sustained a gunshot wound.

The Police's Frederik van Wyk says: “The Delft police members received a complaint from the Delft Day Hospital about the 17-year-old deceased who was shot at in Roosendal and was brought to the hospital for treatment. She sustained a gunshot wound to the back and police have opened a murder case for investigation.”
