Gautrain's Pretoria disruptions caused by derailment

It's understood the train derailed on Thursday morning causing disruptions along the route.

JOHANNESBURG - Gautrain has confirmed that services between Pretoria and Hatfield have been suspended after what the company is calling a “minor derailment”.

It's understood the train derailed on Thursday morning causing disruptions along the route.

No passengers were injured during the incident.

Gautrain says buses were available to ferry customers on Thursday afternoon.

Spokesperson Kesagee Nayager says: “A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident and the technicians are also working to fully restore the service.”
