CAPE TOWN – Triple murder accused Henri van Breda’s trial will get underway on 27 March.

He is accused of killing his parents and older brother at their Stellenbosch home two years ago.

He appeared briefly in the Western Cape High Court on Friday morning.

Flanked by his defence team, van Breda was quickly ushered up the court’s steps.

He stood solemnly in the dock.

Van Breda’s defence counsel says the trial date has been shifted ‪from 13 to 27 March‬ as they have been battling for months to get the DNA reports.

DNA evidence will play a critical role in the trial.

Last Friday marked exactly two years since the triple murder.
