Raging Paarl wildfire prompts evacuation
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says motorists are being redirected from the affected area.
PAARL - Some farming communities near the Du Toitskloof Pass have been evacuated due to a raging wildfire.
Helicopters are continuing to water bomb the vegetation fire that broke out earlier on Thursday.
A section of the Du Toitskloof Pass is covered in a dense smoke cloud.
Officials say the fire spread along unburnt areas.
Traffic officers also lined the road to clear the area for emergency vehicles.

At least 30 firefighters are being assisted by waterbombing helicopters.
No property damage has so far been reported.
