Over 140 people destitute after Dunoon shack fire

CAPE TOWN - More than 140 have been left destitute following a shack fire in Dunoon.

Forty dwellings burnt to the ground at the weekend and no casualties were reported.

Charlotte Powell from the City of Cape Town's Disaster Risk Management says the city is providing support.

“The city’s services are assisting the community, looking at informal settlement housing, water and sanitation.”
