JOHANNESBURG - A 38-year-old man is expected to appear in the Temba Magistrates Court in Hammanskraal on Monday for allegedly burning his girlfriend to death and burying her in his backyard.

It’s understood the suspect killed the woman, set her alight and hid her body inside a hole at his Temba home in October last year.

Police say the suspect then reported his girlfriend as missing, but was later found to be possibly linked to her disappearance.

The police's Kay Makhubele says, “The suspect indicated that before killing her he burnt her and buried the body at his backyard. He took the police to the crime scene, where the remains of the woman where found.”
