Case against Thami Tsolekile postponed to mid-March

The former Proteas cricketer was charged with the assault of a 14-year-old boy in the Pinelands area last year.

CAPE TOWN - The case against former Proteas cricketer Thami Tsolekile has been postponed in the Goodwood Magistrates Court.

Tsolekile had been charged with the assault of a 14-year-old boy in the Pinelands area last year.

The case against the former Proteas cricketer has been postponed to mid-March for plea and trial.

During a previous court date, the court issued a stayed warrant of arrest after the accused failed to appear.

The execution of the arrest warrant was stayed until Friday when the court heard Tsolekile had been ill at the time he was due to appear in court.
