Body of burnt baby found on JHB rubbish dump

JOHANNESBURG - The burnt body of an infant has been found by Pikitup workers at a rubbish dump in Westbury.

Johannesburg police say the waste removal service’s workers were collecting rubbish in the area when they made the grim discovery.

The police’s Jerbes de Bruyn says an inquest docket has been opened.

“Member of the Pikitup company came to clean up the garbage and found the baby there.

“An inquest docket has been opened and we are investigating.”
