Cape woman to appear in court for resisting arrest, crimen injuria
An officer allegedly manhandled the woman in front of her nine-year-old son.
CAPE TOWN - A 23-year-old woman will be in appearing in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates Court on charges of crimen injuria and resisting arrest.
A video of the incident was posted on social media platform Facebook, where complaints were made against an officer who allegedly manhandled the woman in front of her nine-year-old son.
According to the post, the woman was at the Lentegeur police station to report a robbery incident on Saturday evening.
Western Cape Police have confirmed the incident is being investigated.
