CAPE TOWN - The Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) says various parts of Signal Hill are still smoldering, after a fire broke out in the area on Friday.

On Friday evening, fire crews and SANParks managed to contain the blaze.

Firefighters will remain on Signal Hill today in case of any flare-ups.

TMNP fire manager Phillip Prince says: “The fire is contained at this stage and it's under control. There will still be smoke coming from that area as there are logs smouldering.”
