Thunderstorm season: Gauteng motorists urged to be careful

JOHANNESBURG – Johannesburg Emergency Management Services says there were no major incidents reported following Thursday night’s heavy rain but it has warned that it is thunderstorm season and there will be potential flooding.

Thundershowers are also expected.
Johannesburg EMS’s Robert Mulaudzi says, “We’ve officially entered the thunderstorm season, we urge all motorists to be cautious on the road, to avoid areas which are flooded and also young children who might be tempted to play next to these river streams or dams or drainage systems, to stay away from those areas.”
