Looking forward to Christmas lunch?

Some Capetonians share what they’re looking forward to on Sunday.

CAPE TOWN - From gammon to the traditional trifle, some holidaymakers say they’ve been looking forward to Christmas lunch for months.

With the festive season in full swing, families are flocking to some of Cape Town's renowned tourist destinations to enjoy the holiday period.

Eyewitness News asked some of them what will be on the menu on Sunday.

“We have a normal lunch with ribs and lamb,” one man said.

A woman said turkey is a must-have Christmas dish.

“There’ll be turkey and roast potatoes. It’s very traditional for us.”

Another man said that his family would enjoy sweet treats throughout the day.

Christmas Day is celebrated annually and mostly observed on 25 December.
