JOHANNESBURG - As holiday traffic starts to pick up across the country, there’s been yet another fatal accident in Limpopo.
This time, a head-on collision in Makhado has claimed the lives of two South African National Defence Force (SANDF) members.
It’s understood two trucks, one of them a military vehicle, were travelling in the same direction on Thursday, when another truck driving in the opposite direction lost control and hit them both.
Police’s Motlafela Mojapelo says a case of culpable homicide is being investigated.
“It was actually a head-on collision where two members of the SANDF died, one died instantly and another died shortly after arriving at the hospital.”
More than 30 people have lost their lives on the province's roads in just over a week.
