Hawks make another breakthrough in CT cop murder probe

CAPE TOWN – The Hawks has made yet another breakthrough in their investigations into a series of police murders.

Five South African Police Service officials have been killed in Cape Town over the past three weeks.

On Wednesday, three men were arrested in Bloekombos in Kraaifontein, for the murder of Constable Mziwonke Siwisa.

Siwisa, who was stationed at the Sea Border Unit at Table Bay Harbour, was gunned down outside his Wallacdene home before he was supposed to report for work on Monday morning.

Hawks spokesperson Lloyd Ramovha.

“One illegal handgun with a filed off serial number was seized. The suspects are expected to appear at the Kuils River Magistrates Court on Monday.”

Earlier this week, two more arrests were made in connection with the murder of Constable Amanda Ladlokova in Philippi East last month.
