Tourist rescued after fall on Lion's Head

According to reports from the scene, the 32-year-old tourist had slipped and fell about eight metres.

CAPE TOWN - A tourist has fallen on Table Mountain.

Netcare 911 says paramedics were dispatched before noon to assist a woman who fell on Lion's Head.

According to reports from the scene, the 32-year-old tourist had slipped and fell about eight metres.

Netcare 911's Chris Botha said: "The paramedics, as well as the rescue unit and Cape Wildlife officials, were on the mountain. They assisted us in getting the patient back down to where the ambulance was."

The woman was taken to hospital.

No further details were made available.
