The social protection, community and human development clusters held a briefing in Pretoria earlier on Monday.
Dlamini says her department has partnered with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Ns fas) to ensure pupils from poor and vulnerable families have access to funding.
“We are happy to announce that matriculants who are currently receiving social grants and are accepted into institutions of higher learning will no longer go through means test to qualify for financial aid from Nsfas.”
