CAPE TOWN - Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa says credit ratings agencies are not mainly focused on political movements.

Answering questions in the National Assembly, Ramaphosa told MPs that agencies are more concerned with the ability of government to grow the economy.

Ramaphosa says 22 years is not long enough to achieve the desired change in the country, but adds government is implementing policies to achieve this objective.

“In the end, the political noise that they observe is not their main consideration, their main consideration is the economy and how we’re managing the economy.”
