Stranded Plett Rage students assisted with accommodation

Around 40 students arrived in Plettenberg Bay without accommodation for the festival after being scammed by a property management.

CAPE TOWN – Plett Rage students left stranded yesterday as a result of an accommodation scam have been assisted by Plett Tourism and organisers of the event.

Yesterday, around 40 students arrived in Plettenberg Bay without accommodation for the festival.

According to reports the students were scammed out of thousands of rands by a property management company they used online.

Plett Tourism Spokesperson Patty Butterworth says interventions have been implemented to accommodate stranded students.

“We were able to find additional accommodation the Plett Tourism and individuals willing to open their homes.”
