CAPE TOWN - Police have arrested 10 suspects in Nyanga over the past few days in connection with three separate hijackings.

On Monday, officers came under attack while they were trying to pull over a minibus.

It’s believed the vehicle had been hijacked in Delft.

The following day, two more suspects were nabbed after they were found working on a vehicle which had reportedly been hijacked in Khayelitsha last month.

Three men were also apprehended for a hijacking on Wednesday.

The police's Noloyiso Rwexana says, “Seven suspects appeared in court on Thursday and three are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrates Court on Friday. They are between the ages of 22 and 31.”
