Gauteng heatwave to last for 3 more days

The weather service says sweltering conditions are also forecast for the Northern Cape, the North West, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga.

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service says Gauteng residents should expect the heatwave to last for another three days.

With temperatures expected to reach highs of up to 43 degrees in Upington, the weather service says sweltering conditions are also forecast for the Northern Cape, the North West, Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga.

Weather forecaster Jacqueline Modika says slightly cooler conditions can be expected over the weekend.

“For Gauteng slight relief is expected when we when we’ve got an inflow of moist air that can lead to a few showers and thundershowers by Sunday.”
