Hawks investigating several Cape Town cop shootings

CAPE TOWN - The Hawks are investigating several fatal attacks on police offices in Cape Town.

Three SAPS members have been shot and killed over the past week.

Two constables were murdered in Kraaifontein and Delft on Saturday morning.

Hawks spokesperson Lloyd Ramovha says: “[There've been] no arrests in both cases. We appeal to members of the public who might have any information to come forward.”

Last week, an officer was shot dead in Philippi East, while her partner was wounded.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and police are hunting two more suspects.

A captain was also wounded in Manenberg.

Western Cape Community Safety is offering an reward.
