JOHANNESBURG – Minister in the Presidency Responsible for Women Susan Shabangu says government is involved in several programs which seek to educate men.

Shabangu is attending the official launch of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.

The minister says that boys need to be brought up in a way that serves to protect women.

“We have partnered with men’s organisations in making sure Gender Sonke Justice are able to address these matters, because if we are going to focus on the victim and not the perpetrator we will not be able to understand what leads to that violence.”
