NY mayor vows to block Trump's proposed immigration polices
Bill de Blasio says New York will be a national model of resistance to Trump's policies.
The democrat held a Town Hall discussion on Monday in which he outlined his pledge to address anti-hate crimes that have increased and shield those who would be targeted by the policies Trump has said he would impose.
De Blasio says New York will be a national model of resistance to Trump's policies.
He says, “A single office holder doesn’t change who we are. We are 8.5 million strong”
Especially regarding immigration and policing.
“If all Muslims are required to register we will take legal action to block it.”
De Blasio asked New Yorkers to build a movement that believes in dignity and respect for all.
