CAPE TOWN - A man is expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court today for allegedly raping two girls.

The victims, aged seven and 12, were allegedly approached by the man while they were walking home at the weekend.

It's alleged he then attacked them.

A third girl managed to get away and alerted authorities.

The police's Sergio Kock says the suspect is known to the children.

“What happened is that this person actually shoved them through a hole in the wire at the West End club and he actually raped two of the girls, a seven-year-old and a 12-year-old - allegedly. At this stage, a 26-year-old man has been arrested.”
