SANAC: We can all end HIV/Aids by 2030
SANAC says it’s unacceptable that in 2016 there are 290,000 new HIV infections annually.
The council held a meeting in Pretoria today which was opened by Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The council’s Mapaseka Letsike says it’s unacceptable that in 2016 there are 290,000 new HIV infections annually.
Letsike is committed to the new strategic plan to eradicate HIV and Aids by 2030.
“It is in our hands that the national response, we take charge. The world Aids theme states that way [sic]. I urge all of you to take charge because communities matter. I state that communities should be the centre of everything we do and I know we can achieve this.”
Ramaphosa has urged all South Africans to participate in developing this new plan.
