Alleged mugger arrested in Bo-Kaap

CAPE TOWN - A man believed to be linked to at least two armed muggings in Camps Bay has been arrested.

The suspect, who was nabbed during an operation on Monday, was found in possession of two cellphones and a knife matching the description given by the victims.

The attacks were reported on the 26 October and on the 1 November.

SANParks spokesperson Merle Collins says the suspects was tracked to his home in Bo-Kaap.

“On Monday we had a covert operation the police and managed to nab our suspect who is now obviously behind bars. We managed to find the possessions of the victims and also the suspect matched the description given by the victims.”
