WC ANC welcomes Fransman’s replacement in provincial legislature
Nomi Nkondlo has been inaugurated as a new ANC member in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament.
CAPE TOWN - Former National Youth Commission Chairperson Nomi Nkondlo has been inaugurated as the new African National Congress (ANC) member in the Western Cape Provincial Parliament.
Nkondlo takes up the position after Marius Fransman's resignation in September.
Fransman has been asked to step aside from his position as provincial ANC leader, after allegations of sexual harassment had been levelled against him earlier this year.
ANC provincial spokesperson Yonela Diko says Nkondlo will make an invaluable contribution the party.
“She is an astute and outstanding leader. Her joining the provincial legislature will add significantly to the ANC’s goals and vision towards 2019.”
