4 children die in bakkie accident outside Kuruman
Children between the ages of 4 and 8 sustained fatal injuries while two boys between the ages of 1 &2 sustained serious injuries.
JOHANNESBURG – Four children have been killed and five others injured when a bakkie and another vehicle collided on the N14 this afternoon, outside the Kuruman in the Northern Cape.
Paramedics say they arrived on the scene to find the car lying on its side while the bakkie was parked in the yellow lane of the road.
Emergency services say the children between the ages of 4 and 8 sustained fatal injuries and five other patients including two boys between the ages of 1 and 2 sustained moderate to serious injuries.
ER24's Russel Meiring said, “Paramedics treated the patients before they were taken to Kuruman Hospital. The cause of this incident is not yet known.”
