Water conservation expert shares tips on saving water
A conservation expert shares advice on using water sparingly, as level 3 water restrictions have been implemented in Cape Town.
CAPE TOWN - A water conservation expert says consumers can help save valuable water stocks for the coming dry months by regularly monitoring their usage at home.
The City of Cape Town implemented stricter level three water restrictions yesterday.
Samantha Braid from the Watershed Project, an NPO that promotes awareness around water saving, says there are a number of minor lifestyle changes consumers can make.
“Make sure it’s a full load when you do the washing or laundry and wear your clothes more than once to reduce the amount of washing that’s being done. In the bathroom, turn your tap off while brushing our teeth or shaving and it’s always better to shower than to bath.”
