Gauteng set to cool down after weekend heat
The SA Weather Service says the heatwave that has gripped the province is expected to subside somewhat.
JOHANNESBURG – The South African Weather Service says rainfall is expected in Gauteng today as weather conditions begin to cool off.
The weather service says while the heatwave that has gripped the province is expected to lay off today, temperatures will remain slightly high.
Forecaster Mbali Maliage says there is a 30% to 60% chance of rain today.
“We are expecting for today, in the northern parts of Gauteng, a 60% chance of rain and in the rest of the province, a 30% chance. For the rest of the week we are expecting a 30% chance of thunder showers later on; mostly later in the afternoon for Gauteng.”
