Tyson Gay thanks fans for support after daughter's death

JOHANNESBURG - US Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay has thanked fans across the world for their support following the death of his 15-year-old daughter.

Trinity Gay was killed last week after she was was caught in an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles outside a Kentucky restaurant.

Mourners gathered at the Southland Christian Church on Saturday, where a funeral service was held.

In a short video clip Gay says: "I have received so much support, Trinity has received so much support and the family. I wanna say I love you guys and hopefully we can come together and stop the violence. Trinity would have wanted us to come together and have peace, and I am going to do whatever I can to help the youth.

Four men have now been arrested in connection with the shooting.
