2 suspected Tshwane house robbers killed in mob justice attack

JOHANNESBURG - Police have confirmed that a crowd of about 100 people were involved in the killing of two suspects in what's thought to be a mob justice attack by the community of Erasmia in Tshwane this weekend.

The police who were patrolling the area were called after two gun shots were heard from a complex in the area.

It was later discovered that the two killed had been involved in a house robbery.

The police's Kay Makhubele says two other people remain in hospital.

"There are two people who were beaten up by the community members. It was later found these two were involved in a house robbery where they were chased and they fired randomly. Two people were shot."
