CAPE TOWN - Undergraduate medical students at the University of Cape Town (UCT) will now complete the remainder of the 2016 academic program in January.

FeesMustFall protests have gripped the university as management pushes for operations to resume.

The Health Sciences Faculty yesterday announced that course curriculums and exams for students in years one to three will be concluded in a mini-semester next year.

Other students are, however, expected to complete the 2016 academic year.

The university's Elijah Moholola adds that the affected students have also been requested to clear their residences.

"The academic programme for the rest of the Faculty of Health Sciences continues and importantly the rest of the university faculty is continuing."
