Arrested UWC students to spend at least another week in custody

The students were arrested this week for their involvement in violent protests on the Bellville campus.

CAPE TOWN - Twenty-five University of the Western Cape (UWC) students who appeared in court today will have to spend at least another week in prison.

The students were arrested this week for their involvement in violent protests on the Bellville campus.

One of the students faces additional charges because he was allegedly found with a petrol bomb at the time of his arrest.
