WC govt delegation eyes US to boost investment
Wesgro CEO, Tim Harris, will be part of the delegation heading to America.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape government together with the City of Cape Town is eyeing the United States as it tries to boost investment in a number of sectors.
Tourism, IT and film have been identified as industries where significant growth is possible.
Tim Harris, of investment and trade agency Wesgro, is part of the delegation headed to America.
"In Los Angeles we're meeting with all the major film studios. In San Francisco we're meeting with a variety of tech companies and we're meeting with South Africans who are living there, to recruit them as ambassadors for Cape Town as a leading tech centre in Africa."
