CAPE TOWN - A father and his 19-year-old son have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Mossel Bay prison warden.

The pair allegedly stabbed the off-duty official during an argument outside a popular nightspot in Kwanonqaba yesterday.

The motive for the attack is being investigated.

The police's Malcolm Pojie says, "The incident happened yesterday morning after the victim apparently went to fetch his girlfriend at a party.

"An argument ensued, and thereafter, according to information, the two suspects took knives and stabbed the warden in his head. He died on the scene."
