Fedusa to form part of SA delegation at SA Tomorrow Investor conference
Fedusa says delegates will engage investors in New York in a bid to boost job creation.
CAPE TOWN - The Federation of Unions of South Africa (Fedusa) will attend the 2016 South Africa Tomorrow Investor Conference this week in New York.
Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan, South African Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago, as well as other business and labour leaders will form part of the delegation.
Following a meeting with President Jacob Zuma, Gordhan and business representatives, Fedusa leadership has suggested the establishment of a team South Africa committee to further boost the country's international investment appeal.
Fedusa General Secretary Dennis George says delegates will over the course of the coming two days engage investors in a bid to boost job creation.
"Our job is now to meet with the rating agencies in New York and also with the pension fund investors."
Fedusa management hopes this latest bid, together with previous work done, will steer the country towards economic prudency.
