JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) has congratulated Wits University students for voting to go back to class following a referendum held by the university.

More than 21,000 students responded to a survey this week, with 77 percent of them saying they want classes to resume.

Last month, the youth league called on students across the country to end their fees must fall protests and allow academic activity to continue.

It says students must continue with their learning while the commission of inquiry into free higher education resumes its work.
