MANKWENG - All eight arrested students at the University of Limpopo's Turfloop campus have been released from custody.

They were being held on charges of public violence and malicious damage to property during # FeesMustFall demonstrations earlier this week.

Several students were taken to hospitals after they were wounded when police fired rubber bullets.

Limpopo police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo said: "They were brought to court and subsequently released because of lack of evidence."
