CT doctor rape case postponed
A rape survivor claims a doctor sexually assaulted her during consultation in Nyanga.
CAPE TOWN - A doctor accused of raping a patients at a Nyanga clinic has appeared in court.
Oluwabusuyi Babalola, aged 46, is facing charges of rape and sexual assault.
Prosecutor Pumeza Mtuyedwa-Zondi has told the court the 26-year-old rape survivor went to Nyanga Community Clinic for treatment for backache.
The victim claims Babalola sexually assaulted her during consultation and then raped her in the consulting room.
The State has requested a postponement to gather more information, but Babalola's lawyer has objected to this.
The case has been postponed to next month for formal bail application.
