AKA decides to be ‘mature’ after challenging Black Coffee to a showdown
AKA dared Black Coffee to try landing that hot slap on him, after the DJ slapped the hip-hop artist’s manager.
JOHANNESBURG - After the video of DJ Black Coffee hitting hip-hop artist AKA's manager went viral on social media today, AKA took to Twitter to dare the DJ to try that hot slap on him when they meet.
In the video, the BET Award winner - whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, slaps Tshiamo Letshwene during an argument at the DSTV iRock Music Festival held in Polokwane on Saturday night.
Reports suggest AKA was two hours late for his performance, upon arrival he and his team set up just as Black Coffee was scheduled to take the stage.
In this pic there's a line up of artists. As you can see, AKA was scheduled to do his thing at 22:10. pic.twitter.com/IS0ZVQPL49

AKA, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, has challenged the DJ to try landing that slap on him.
Look .... This is a small world. I'm sure at some point I will run into coffee. I'd like to see him try and hit me. He's a coward.

And of course Black Coffee has risen to the challenge, naming the time and place (so to speak).
I'm a Coward.....I fear God....I'll be @KONG_urban tonight 🤓

However, it seems AKA has decided to be "mature" about this whole incident and let it go.
After thinking about it, we have nothing to gain by going there tonight, everything to lose.

Tomorrow my GQ cover drops. We been working towards this for years. We won't allow one person's actions to overshadow this.
— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 25, 2016
There comes a time when you have to deal with things with maturity. The only person who can mess this up for me is me.

What's the point of me sitting in a cell while my career's work flourishes ..... It's a no brainer. I'm not a hooligan(anymore lol) ... Ⓜ️
— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 25, 2016
So yeah bro. Shit happens. What you do from there on out determines where you end up. I'm trying to grow up. And this is just a test.
— AKA (@akaworldwide) September 25, 2016
After all .... I'm not the person who was assaulted. Nobody put hands(hand) on me. I'm just going to have to let it fly ... And focus.

Meanwhile, South Africa's are it at again with their humourous comments after the incident.
The hashtag #ThingsBlackCoffeeShouldSlap has been trending on Twitter and gaining momentum by the second.
