Cape Town cops granted bail in graft, drug dealing case
The pair was arrested for corruption and drug dealing during raids last week.
CAPE TOWN - Two policemen arrested for corruption and drug dealing have been released on bail.
They appeared in the Somerset West Magistrates Court yesterday, while a third officer was granted bail in the Bellville Magistrates Court last Friday.
The three officers were apprehended in separate raids last week.
The warrant officer and constable who were stationed in Strand were released on R5,000 bail each.
They are due to make another court appearance next month.
Meanwhile, the officer who was stationed in Parow, will be back in the Bellville Magistrates Court next week.
The trio face charges including corruption and drug possession.
More arrests are imminent as the investigation continues.
