KZN police arrest three suspect linked to taxi boss shooting

JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested three men for the murder of a KwaZulu-Natal taxi boss who was gunned down at Ezimangweni earlier this year.

Forty-three-year-old Sphamandla Mkhulisi was with a friend when a car with unknown gunmen fired shots at them, fatally wounding him and injuring his friend.

The police's Shooz Magudulela says police investigations led them to the Bhambayi area, where they arrested three suspects.

"Information led them to iNkandla where they found another suspect with an unlicensed firearm and five rounds of ammunition. [There are] eight suspects between [the ages of] 21 and 39. They were charged with murder and one of them was charged with possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition."
