Wet weekend forecast for Gauteng, Western Cape
Temperatures are expected to drop in Gauteng and the Western Cape.
JOHANNESBURG - The South African Weather Service says although rain is not forecast for Gauteng over the next two days, residents can expect rainy weather from Saturday.
Forcasters say temperatures are expected to drop in the province this weekend with the mercury expected to peak at just 12 degrees in Johannesburg on Sunday.
The service says cloudy conditions are expected to persist in parts of the Western Cape.
Forcaster Kgolofelo Mahlangu says Cape Town is due for rainy weather from tomorrow.
"[There's] a 60% chance on Friday for Cape Town with cloudy conditions, and Saturday as well partly cloudy with 30% percent chance. Snow is possible over the high grounds of the Western Cape province but that is something we will have to monitor as of today. It is also possible over the Drakensburg mountains."
