JOHANNESBURG - Senior National Prosecuting Authority officials advocates Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi have been struck off the roll of advocates.

Jiba is the Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions while Mrwebi heads up the Specialised Commercial Crime unit.

The General Council of the Bar applied to the High Court in Pretoria to have them struck from the roll following several adverse judicial findings against them.

Among the cases was Jiba's authorisation of racketeering charges against former KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Johan Booysen.
