Tshwane motorists urged to be vigilant against licensing scams
People pretending to be officials have allegedly robbed customers of large amounts of money.
JOHANNESBURG - Tshwane Metro Police have warned members of the public to avoid accepting any assistance from people pretending to be officials at licensing departments in the area.
The culprits are believed to have robbed customers of large amounts of money as they attempted to pay for their motor vehicle licenses.
The police's Isaac Mahamaba has urged residents to report any related incidents.
"They should not ask for any help from strangers. They should go inside our licensing offices and request a favour; and after paying money they should demand a receipt."
