JOHANNESBURG - Two men arrested in connection with attacks on Uber taxi passengers are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrate Court this morning.

In July, a 64-year-old woman was attacked, allegedly by two men hiding in the boot of an Uber vehicle in Fourways.

A month later, a couple was attacked after requesting an Uber from a nightclub in Sunninghill.

Police arrested a driver in Mpumalanga last week.

He was operating as an Uber driver at the time of these incidents.

A security guard was also arrested.

The police's Lungelo Dlamini say they're following leads to catch a third suspect still on the run.

"They will appear in the Randburg Magistrate Court today after being arrested over the weekend. We are still looking for the third suspect who is still on the run."
